Aroma hop.
Tettnang variety is a very fine traditional aroma hop, well established in the European Lager type beers. They have been used successfully in traditional lighter English cask ales.
Lubelski, Saaz, Santiam, Spalter Select
An aroma variety which is grown only in hop growing area Tettnang, the Lake Constance region in southern Germany.
Tettnang is a good yielding variety with average resistance to Peronospora and good resistance to Verticillium Wilt.
Organic production is well established with a small number of growers, but yield is variable. The crop is pelleted soon after harvest, and therefore any whole hop requirements need to be specified by October at the latest each year.
